A.J. is a CFP® professional and one of the original members of our firm. He has over 20 years of experience in the financial services industry and helped pioneer financial planning here at the Advisors Group of Chicago.
A.J. believes in taking a holistic approach to financial planning when assisting our clients in identifying and meeting their financial goals and dreams. “This process begins with goal setting and understanding your STRATEGY towards meeting those goals. Important issues such as time horizons, risk tolerance, needs for liquidity, growth and tax sensitivity all play a part in identifying the ultimate solution set for each client we serve”.

A.J. has a Bachelor’s degree from the University of Illinois in Champaign-Urbana. He received his Certified Financial Planner™ (CFP®) designation in 1988 and holds Series 7 -FINRA General Securities Representative, Series 24 - FINRA General Securities Principal, Series 51 - FINRA Municipal Fund Securities Principal and Series 63 - NASAA Uniform Securities Agent State Law Examination licenses. A.J is a Registered Representative, an Investment Advisor Representative and a General Securites Principal with NFP Securities Inc. He also holds Insurance licenses in multiple states.
Prior to joining the firm in 1986, A.J. was a Member of the Chicago Board of Trade where he specialized in trading U.S. Treasury Bonds, Stock Indices and Precious Metals.
A.J. and his wife Erin have 3 children, Taylor, Connor and Lauren. They have been residents of Downers Grove since 1983. A.J. and Erin coach and attend their kids numerous sporting events as well as enjoy golf, scuba diving and motorcycling. A.J. is a licensed Commercial pilot with Instrument and Multi-engine ratings.
