About Charlie Cooper
Charlie is a CLU, ChFC professional and one of the original members of the firm. He has 27 years of experience in the financial services industry.
Charlie believes he should provide products and services to his clients so they may create a satisfying future. He accomplishes this by first getting in touch with the feelings of his clients to define their real wants and actual needs. He then analyzes their current situation including assets and liabilities, insurance policies, trusts, retirement plans, personal liability averages, etc. This assessment is done in conjunction with his clients’ other advisors, e.g.; attorneys, CPAs, etc. He then develops strategies which provide guidance to help his client in deciding to implement, change, or reject recommendations. He then provides the most important step which is the annual review to determine if his clients’ goals have been met or whether revisions need to be made to accomplish the identified goals.
Charlie has a BSMAE in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering from Illinois Institute of Technology. He received his Chartered Life Underwriter designation (CLU) in 1988 and his Chartered Financial Consultant designation (ChFC) in 1988. He holds the Series 6 FINRA Investment Company Products/Variable Contracts Limited Representative and Series 63 NASAA Uniform Securities Agent State Law Examination and he is a Registered Representative and Investment Advisor Representative with NFP Securities, Inc. He holds insurance licenses in multiple states.
Charlie and his wife Joellyn reside in Naperville, Il. They have 2 children, Charles who is married and living in Cincinnati, Ohio and Erin who is living in Los Angeles, California. Charlie enjoys golf, gardening and cooking.
